BVB Project is the product we built to run our own company. We made it for ourselves first, leaned on it every day, and only opened it up to you once it had proven itself.

It does exactly what running real projects demands: no bloat, none of the hundred features you’d never open.

Why we built it

We used Atlassian Jira since 2008, more than 18 years. We genuinely loved it for years: it was the first tool that let us streamline every custom-development request into one clear flow. But our clients found it far too complex. It’s an enterprise product built for enterprise problems, and most of that weight just gets in the way.

So last year we moved to ClickUp. Our clients liked it more, but for us it was bloated and slow, and new features shipped so fast they kept introducing new bugs.

Here’s the deeper problem with one-size-fits-all project tools: they’re built to satisfy everyone, which means they satisfy no one perfectly. You pay every month for a hundred features you never touch, you bend your workflow around someone else’s assumptions, and you end up renting access to your own process.

Eighteen years of living inside those tools taught us exactly what a great workflow needs, and what it doesn’t. To build software the right way, we plan the right way. So we built our own.

Time tracking that just happens. The timer starts when you pick up a task and stops when you complete it. No stopwatch to remember, no week-end guesswork reconstructing where the hours went.

The right access for everyone. Five clear roles, from admin to a read-only client view, so you can safely invite a client into their own project without exposing anything else.

Reports that answer the real questions. A manager dashboard with an activity log and weekly timesheets, and a personal “my activity” view for every team member: who did what, how long it took, what’s billable.

Submissions without an account. A public link anyone can use to send work your way. Our bookkeeper, Monique, used to route every request through chat. Now she gets a link, submits directly, and is emailed the moment it’s done. Software shaped around a real person, not a generic role.

Built to be lived in. File attachments, a full audit trail of every change, and a tool that fades into the background so the work stays in front.
